Gabe Green says fighting at 170lbs was doing a “disservice” to himself, explains decision to drop to lightweight

Interview with Gabe Green below

Gabe Green (11-5) discusses his lightweight fight against Matheus Camilo (9-2) at UFC Vegas 107 on May 17. Gabe also spoke about his layoff going into the fight, what type of camp he’s had and his decision to drop down to lightweight.

“After weighing in at 170-pounds, I was only getting up to 174-175llbs after sweats and shoes on. Fighting against guys are blowing up to 190-200 is doing a little bit of disservice to myself. I’m thinking about staying at 155lbs for sure as long as the cut goes smoothly, which it should. I’m probably cutting from a lower weight than 55ers.”
